Beach nourishment has been an ongoing issue on the Outer Banks as long as we can remember and this special group of volunteers really stepped it up for our community here in Duck. Planting beach grasses is essential to help prevent erosion of our shoreline and maintain our beautiful beaches. Sandy, who heads the beach planting program, hosted a small gathering for her volunteers at AQUA to show the towns appreciation for their hard work. A good time was had by all! Thanks to Town of Duck for recognizing these awesome volunteers.
